Older aesthetics like Y2k and Frutiger Aureo have hit the nostalgia cycle in design and become trendy. But their popularity is not just a trend; it is also a resentment towards the overly minimal, boring, and lazy flat design corporations have been producing worldwide. To celebrate and push back against flat design I’ve explored learning what makes these areas so special by creating my own pieces.

This is my own personal jacket redesign of the book The Metamorphosis by Kranz Kafka. 

This design sends the message to live a life where one engages deeply with knowledge, thought, and creativity. The orange head represents being able to embrace complex and corrupt people. while maintaining a lifestyle that is intentional, clear, and free from unnecessary burdens.

This is a promotional ad for a winter course at Queens College. Part of a poster series for a set of scary movies called The Abductions. 
I redesigned Herman Melville's Bartleby the Scrivener to offer a fresh and visually engaging interpretation of the classic story. To achieve this, I incorporated real shredded paper into the design by digitizing and scanning it.
